Church Vision for 2011

Our lives are geared towards questions such as “What can I get out of it?” and “What is in it for me?”.  We focus on the results, the end product, what we reap.  But at the end of the day it is not about how much we GROW, but about how much we SOW.  

A sowing mind-set is always thinking about we are putting in. Sowing is about equipping, imparting, believing and exhorting.  For the year 2011 we are committed to sowing, into our own lives and into the lives of others.  

We cannot measure our success by what we reap.  Instead we must measure our success by what we sow.

We are passionate about building a church that will personify the new generation God is raising up across the earth to make His Name famous. We see a church that reaches more people every day, changes lives through Christ’s love and unites believers into a glorious church.

Loving People
The only eternal things are God and people. Our primary focus is to see more people experience the life changing wonder of a personal relationship with Jesus, and to enjoy the life God offers.

Living Generously
God’s love has been given to us freely and generously. Our response is to be generous with all that we have to all we meet by finding solutions to challenges in our community and being part of the answer to the world’s needs.

Always Growing
Everything that is alive grows. Connected to the source of life, Jesus, we are committed to growth in all things; in our lives, families, relationship with God and the growth of God’s House.

Being Positive
We are passionate about building a church that is part of the answer, not part of the problem; a church that is known for what it is for, not what it is against. Being positive is about looking for ways to build, bless and encourage people.

Uniting as One
ARISE is one church in three cities. By uniting together as one we are empowered to achieve greater good in our nation and world.
